Morning Star Estate – a fab spot close to home
I love going to Morning Star Estate which is just a seven minute drive away from my Mount Eliza home unit. It’s the perfect venue to enjoy with family and friends, having a great selection of restaurant foods and an excellent cellar of wines. It’s often the place of choice to just meet for coffee and cake.
Morning Star Estate is set amidst 22 acres of exquisite gardens, and 30 acres of vines, with panoramic views of Port Philip Bay stretching from the Bellarine Peninsula to Melbourne. We often enjoy a wander through these gardens with their unique waterfall feature, especially when the roses are in bloom.
The estate hosts plenty of events and live music concerts catering to many tastes throughout the year. For my favourites, I gather there with friends, bringing along deck chairs, rugs, jackets in case of rain, hats, sunscreen, smiles and good karma. There’s always good food and wine on offer, but sometimes we just bring a picnic to enjoy. We settle in to a carefully selected spot in the natural amphitheatre and take in the entertainment.
