Well, it’s finally time to sell my much loved home unit / apartment at 5/67 Canadian Bay Road, Mount Eliza VIC 3930, Australia. I’m moving with my partner, Lloyd Borrett, into a large house on a half-acre block in Frankston South, not very far away! And so, I’ve put my Mount Eliza home unit on the market.

I work in the primary and secondary school libraries at The Peninsula School in Mount Eliza, and rented in the area for quite a while before finally buying this home unit /apartment just over two years ago. By then I’d grown to totally love the area and know it so very well. That’s why, after a long time searching for the right place, I was so very happy to be able to purchase this home just 50 metres away from Mt Eliza Village. Living in my apartment has been simply divine!

But now my two bedroom home unit / apartment, on the corner of Canadian Bay Road and Village Lane, is up for sale and I’m excited about starting a new phase of my life, together with my lovely partner, close by.

Why this blog exists

Our reasons for doing this blog and using online technology to help our real estate agent sell my Mount Eliza home unit are simple.

First we can. Lloyd knows a thing or two about online marketing, social media, digital PR and web technology. It’s what he does. Check out Lloyd’s profile on LinkedIn.

Second, most real estate agents don’t have the knowledge, time or resources to do this stuff. But we do. It’s in our best interest to help our agent to uniquely promote our property and enhance our prospects for better sales results.

Thirdly, no real estate agent can know the property as well as we do. Providing information to excite and engage buyers with socially-driven photos, videos and stories about the home unit and what it’s like to live in the Mount Eliza area, as we’re doing on this blog, just might help to make the property more attractive to a prospective buyer.

Plus this gives Lloyd an opportunity to try a few ‘out-of-the-box’ ideas not commonly being used by the majority of real estate agents.
